Girl on a windy day. A5. Pen and pencil on paper (original in blue pen with graphite pencil).

Created while on a staff meeeting of which I can't remember the contents, or any other significant details. Aa usual, it started randomly and I guess it got gradually being inspired by Vettriano's The Singing Butler...

Praying knight (unfinished). A5 (cropped). Pen on paper.

Drawn during a bad period of time, along several weeks, while on some meetings or others.

Done while discussing reports with coworkers during a meeting yerterday.

Mess. A5. Pen on paper.
Quite a productive afternoon meeting.

Friday, September 30, 2016

Drac. 9 cm. W x 6 cm. H (approx.). Pencil on paper.
Close caption of Drac, M. Àngels' dog. Necessarily a quick sketch; the dog wouldn't be still for long.

Friday, May 20, 2016

Dead dragon and wild roses. A5 (cropped). Pencil on paper.
Made for Saint George's Day 2016. A simplified version of it went on some T-shirts.

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

Man with suitcase. C6 (envelope). Ballpen on paper (original in green).
On a discarded enevelope from the past union elections.
Freely inspired by the Robert Redford character in the 1975 movie "Three Days of the Condor", a personal favourite. Forgot the sweater and tie, though.

Mad Skull. 9 cm. W x 10.5 cm. H (approx.). Ballpen on recycled paper. Postprocessed with Wacom Tablet + Gimp.
On the back of an envelope, this was sketched while talking on the phone and I choose to finish it later. Lack of space in the paper (it was near the edge) forced me to add the pointed top end of the "A" in Gimp.

Monday, February 23, 2015

Listening to the teacher. A6 (approx.). Ballpen on paper.
A good old friend from college. The picture must be from ca. 1995.

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Banana rider (unfinished). A5 (cropped). Pencil on paper.
This rider, with little variations, has been a recurring image in my papers over the years.
The banana, I'll admit it, is a new approach.

Swimmer. 7.5 cm. W x 8.5 m. H (approx.). Pencil on paper.
A doodle on a small notepad paper; it was around the office for quite a long time.

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Fisher. 14 cm. W x 7.5 cm. H (approx.). Pen on paper.
An old one found between papers from university. It seems inspired in Norman Rockell's style.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Mick Jagger caricature (unfinished). 9.5 cm. W x 23 cm. H (approx.). Pencil on paper.
On the back of an invoice envelope.

Friday, July 26, 2013

On the back of the front cover of one of my father's crosswords magazines.

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Claudia sleeping. 8 cm. W x 9 cm. H (approx.). Pen on paper.
A really quick sketch, this was made while my daughter was taking a nap, probably during the summer of 2004. Time does go by...

Saturday, December 22, 2012

Girl and egg. Original size unknown (around 13 cm. W x 5 cm. H). Pencil and pen on paper.
Drawn on the paper lower margin while writing down the minutes of a meeting, c. 2008. I found a file with the scanned image a couple of days ago in an old USB flash drive.
The girl clearly resembles Claudia at an early age.

Thinking man. A5. Pencil on paper.
As usual, done at work while being supposed to be doing something else. No regrets, though...

Sunday, June 10, 2012

Warrior. 11.5 cm. W x 12.5 cm. H (approx.).
Pen and pencil on paper (original pen in blue).
On the back of an used paper; a quick, loose sketch, probably without any verisimilitude.
I remember similar ones from an old Milo Manara book.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Man and ivy. 11 cm. W x 7 cm. H (approx.).
Pencil on paper (original in red).
On a discarded fax page, drawn with a red color pencil I just found on a table. I started drawing the ear for no reason whatsoever and with no idea of what would come later - hence its strange look.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

World War II Fighter. 23 cm. W x 11.5 cm. H (approx.). Pen on paper (original paper in several different colors; sketch originally in black; white correction tape also used).
A very imprecise and generic World War II aircraft (perhaps somehow loosely resembling a North American P-51 Mustang) I did today on my table calendar when I realised it's 70 years after the Pearl Harbor attack.
I blurred the background in Gimp since it was so busy with doodles by my daughter and other stuff.

Friday, November 18, 2011

Girl with scarf. 7.6 cm. W x 7.7 cm. H.
Pencil on paper (original in yellow paper).
On a Post-itTM note, while chatting during a pause at work.
Reminds me of someone...

Remembering The Italian Job (unfinished). A5.
Pencil and pen on paper.
Always loved the US 1969 movie poster, so the sketch just came naturally during a meeting last year. I had the paper on my desk for a couple of weeks but never found the time to finish it.

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

Portrait of the lazy artist. 59 cm. W x 38.5 cm. H (approx.).
Wacom tablet + MyPaint

From the same session as the Rocker.

Sunday, June 19, 2011

Just a quick, silly sketch from long ago.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Rocker. A5 (approx.). Pen on paper (original in blue).
A quick one at the back of some papers during a meeting. I did listen to what they were saying, though.

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Pirate (final version). A5. Pencil on paper.
Found the original the other day.
Didn't remember I had been working after scanning it.

Friday, May 27, 2011

Just doodling while listening to some boring course...

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Claudia playing the cello. A5. Pencil on paper.
 Portrait in class.
Musketeer. A5. Pen and pencil on paper.
Drew it while watching the movie "Cyrano de Bergerac".
Pirate. A5. Pencil on paper.
Inspired in the illustration "Burying Treasure", by Howard Pyle.
